HERE'S TODAY'S SCHEDULE: 1. Reading - We will be continuing our Charlotte's Web unit this week. You will be reading chapters 7 & 8 Monday, chapters 9 & 10 Wednesday, and 11 & 12 Thursday. I will be sending your Vocabulary List for chapters 7-12 as an attachment in today's email as well as your Reading Response Sentence Starters for chapters 7-12 as an attachment in today's email to complete in your Reading Journal. Please glue the vocabulary list in your journal and if you want you can glue the Reading Responses too. During our Monday and Wednesday Zoom Meetings, I will read 1 chapter to you as you follow along. That 2nd chapter, you will need to read with a parent, sibling, or another family member. If you have any questions, please write them down, and you can ask me during our Zoom Meeting this morning. 2. Scholastic Magazine - This week's issue is: "This is the World's Most Dangerous Cat." 1) Watch the video for this issue; 2) Go over the vocabulary slides; 3) Read this week's issue out loud just like we do in the classroom each week; 4) Read the back of the magazine and answer the questions. 3. Math - This week's focus is Problem Solving. 1) Practice your addition and subtraction facts 0-20 (flashcards or Fact Dash); 2) Practice telling time throughout the day with an analog clock; 3) Practice adding and subtracting different amounts of money (coins and dollars); 4) Complete Math 4 Today Assessment #29 (I sent as an attachment in this morning's email); 5) Complete wkbk pg. 454, #19-21. 4. Writing - This week's focus is a continuation of the last 2 week's Personal Narrative - a true story about your life. 1) Write a final draft of your narrative from what you wrote in your Writing Journal on a piece of notebook paper (like we did at school). On the top line of the paper, write the title of your Personal Narrative. On the 2nd line write By "your name." Remember to skip a line (space) between each of your paragraphs. 2) Draw an illustration/picture on the back of your notebook paper that has to do with your narrative. Please reread each sentence out loud to make sure it makes sense. Remember your capital letters and punctuation marks. Remember to use neat handwriting!! 3) Start your letter to this week's pen pal. 5. Grammar - This week's focus is Irregular Verbs review. 1) Watch "The Irregular Verbs Song" on YouTube. Remember, contributions are what Jimmy Carter did to help people or our country. 7. Moby Max - continue with the lessons I have assigned. 8.
