Reading - try to read at least 20 minutes this weekend.
Math - review your addition and subtraction facts 0-20. IF YOU GET A CHANCE THIS WEEKEND, GO TO MOBY MAX TO REVIEW AND EXTEND YOUR MATH AND READING SKILLS!!! WE HAD A CRAZY FUN MORNING WORKING IN OUR STEAM TEAMS AS WE CREATED 4 "GLUE" SUBSTANCES AND OBSERVED CHANGES IN MATTER!! THE CHALLENGE WE WILL CONTINUE WORKING ON FOR THE NEXT COUPLE WEEKS IS CALLED "STUCK LIKE GLUE." ASK YOUR CHILD HOW SUCCESSFUL HIS/HER TEAM WAS IN CREATING THEIR "GLUE." I WILL TRY AND POST SOME PICTURES ON SEESAW!!! I HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYS THE 3 DAY WEEKEND!! REST, RELAX, AND HAVE FUN WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!! Our Learning Standards for next week: Reading -Questioning; good readers ask questions before, during, and after they read/Introduce problem and solution. Grammar/Phonics - Continue with irregular plural nouns; introduce collective nouns/Review consonant sounds and short vowel sounds, am, an, all, th, sh, and ch sounds. Writing - Personal narratives; we will focus on small moment stories and adding sensory details. Math - Place value; understanding that the three digits of a number represent amounts of hundreds, tens, and ones. Expanded form and reading and writing numbers to 1,000. Social Studies - Introduce Georgia’s 5 regions (Blue Ridge, Piedmont, Coastal Plain, Valley and Ridge, and Appalachian Plateau). Science - Continue with Matter (irreversible and reversible changes/different properties). STEAM – Continue with Stuck Like Glue.
