ON MONDAY, 2/27 YOU CAN WEAR YOUR FAVORITE HAT TO KICK OFF OUR READ ACROSS AMERICA WEEK!!! DURING THE BREAK, PLEASE CONTINUE READING YOUR INDEPENDENT READING BOOK AND REVIEW YOUR MATH CONCEPTS - ESPECIALLY YOUR CUSTOMARY AND METRIC UNITS OF MEASUREMENT!!! WE HAVE ONE MORE WEEK OF OUR PROJECT MAIL CALL!! PLEASE TRY AND REMEMBER TO BRING IN ITEMS TO SEND TO OUR SOLDIERS OVERSEAS!!! When we return from break, we will continue with our 2 systems of measurement units, especially the metric system. We will also focus on perimeter, area, volume, and volume of compound figures. In Reading, we will read the next articles/stories in our Storyworks magazine as well as focus on your Independent Reading books, and continue finding out what will happen to Norway's gold in Snow Treasure. In English/Grammar, the focus is still on the different types of pronouns and we will finish our Alliteration creation and start our Idiom project. You will have a DOL #7 quiz on Tuesday, 2/28. In writing, we will continue with writing strategies that will help you dominate the Milestones test. Our next Social Studies focus is on the Roaring 20s and the Great Depression, and in Science we will work on completing our Circuit Board quizzes as well as other activities that revolve around the concepts in our Electricity and Magnetism Unit you have learned about.
