Math - complete your open number line subtraction word problems sheet. Please remember to write each equation on the back above the number line when you are solving the problem using your number line. Then on the front of the worksheet, make sure to write down the difference (your answer) along with the word(s) - what you are solving for (ex. blue marbles, nickels, basketball games, etc.). Put your completed word problems sheet in your orange folder and bring to school tomorrow with your agenda. Please try and do your homework with your parents tonight. Strive to 100 Monday begins our Thanksgiving Food Drive. The food drive will be Monday, November 6th- Monday, November 13th. Learning Objectives for 11/6-11/10: Math: We will focus on solving subtraction problems using number lines. Reading/Language Arts: We will focus on non fiction texts. Students will practice making connections between events, scientific ideas, or steps within procedures. We will also review root words, and we will introduce reflexive pronouns. (myself, ourselves, etc.) Writing: We will continue our informational writing unit. Science - We will finish up with forces and motions, and introduce environmental changes such as erosion, flooding, and drought. We will also examine how living things can change the environment. STEM - We will continue to review forces with the Toy Invention STEM Challenge. Social Studies - We will learn about the Creek and Cherokee cultures, and we will compare life today with life long ago. Important Dates/Reminders:
